Hi friends

This is a heads up that tomorrow, at approximately 8am EDT, Mauricio and I will begin the process of moving the functions project to the main GitHub organization. Specifically, knative-sandbox/kn-plugin-func will move to knative/func, and we will begin landing PRs that make changes to the prow/test-infra/knobts configurations for these repos.

During this transition, we may experience some bumps along the way, as this is really the first time a project has moved from one organization to the other. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Hey all,

Since all of this stuff was staged, I decided to pull the trigger on this now in the Pacific afternoon, so that I could help debug any issues before day was out. This change is now complete.

If you have active forks or repo clones locally, you may need to run

git remote set-url upstream https://github.com/knative/func.git
at some point to update your repo to the new location.

If you have downstream golang imports of knative-sandbox/kn-plugin-func, you'll want to update the import path to knative.dev/func instead.

Similarly, if you're automatically downloading release binaries, you'll want to update your fetch URL.

GitHub will maintain redirects for these components unless we reuse the repo name in sandbox, so it should be stable to rely on these redirects for the forseeable future.
