Hello Knative community,

It's time to kick off the Knative Steering Committee elections for 2025. There are 2 seats up for the proposed 2 year term. All candidate's nominations are due by November 24th, 23:59 UTC (4:59pm Pacific). I've included more information below on the Steering Committee, nomination process, voter eligibility, and election timeline.

The Knative Steering Committee
The Knative Steering Committee is responsible for the general health of the Knative community, as well as establishing and coordinating other working groups. The Steering Committee charter can be found here: https://github.com/knative/community/blob/main/STEERING-COMMITTEE.md#charter

As of September 2024, this committee also includes the previous technical guidance role provided by the Technical Oversight Committee, which was merged into this body.

Contributor Election Seats
In this election, there are 2 contributor seats up for election for 2 year terms each. All eligible voters are eligible to run for the election.

Voter Eligibility & Nomination Process
Please refer to the voter guide for instructions about confirming eligibility and the voter exception process. The voter guide can be found here: https://github.com/knative/community/tree/main/elections/2025-SC

If you want to stand for the election, detailed instructions on eligibility and process can be found here: https://github.com/knative/community/tree/main/elections/2025-SC

You can learn more about the Election Process here.

Dawn Foster and I will be acting as the election officials for this election.

Regards,
Calum Murray for the Steering Committee and the Election Officers
