Knative SC Nominations Deadline Extended

Hello Knative Community,

As we had so far two nominations for the Knative Steering Committee (KSC) election, we decided to extend the deadline for nominations by one week.

The Knative Steering Committee plays an important role in ensuring the general health of the Knative community, and we need people to help perform this critical function. The KSC should be made up of individuals from different working groups and vendors so that we have a diverse group of thought and input. To run for the KSC, a candidate must be at least a project Member as defined in ROLES.md (full requirements can be found in https://github.com/knative/community/blob/main/mechanics/SC.md). The deadline to nominate yourself (or someone else) is December 9 at 00:00 UTC (5pm Pacific).

This means the following update of the schedule:

• December 2 December 9: All candidate nominations due by 00:00 UTC (5pm Pacific)

• December 5 December 12: Election Begins via Elekto UI

• December 17: Voter exception requests due by 23:59 UTC (4:59pm Pacific)

• December 20: Election Closes by 23:59 UTC (4:59pm Pacific)

• January 7: Announcement of Results
