A new charitable society " Knanaya Educational Community Development and Cultural Society" Started. A new charitable society was started in the name of “Knanaya Educational Community Development and Cultural Society” under Knanaya Archdioceses. The Society aims in the development of educational institutions under knanaya Archdiocese. As a foremost step the new society have taken over the St Mary’s Central CBSE School, Othera which was functioning in the premises of St Mary’s knanaya church, othera. Poabson Group has donated 10 acres of land for the society. A PTA Meeting was called on 11th November 2009 at St Mary’s Knanaya Syrian church, Othera. His Grace Mor Gregorios Kuriakose, Metropolitan of Kallisserry & Malabar Regions of the Arch Diocese and President of Society Inaugurated the Meeting. Vicar General Very Rev. M. A Kuriakose Cor Episcopa, Knanaya Asociation President Fr K O Joseph Kullathramanil, Educational Expert Prof Thomas P John, Principal Prof T Kuriakose, Aby Mathew (Director Poabs Group), E A Kochitty Elakatoor Spoke on the occasion. Several Priests, Knanaya Committee Members, Association Members and Well wishers were present on the occasion.
