Kmotion, Readynas and Foscam 8918W

Hello,

I have spent days doing web searches, scouring forums and
troubleshooting. I even bricked my readynas requiring me to restore
to factor default and reinstall all files using backups (thank god I
have them). So now I am at the mercy of the only support form I could
find that appears still active.

I have a Readynas Ultra 2 Plus running intel(x86) and I am using the
Kmotion add on that is available for the Readynas x86 platform. I
have followed the web tutorial I was able to find for adding an ip
camera but I have not been able to get this to work at all!
Regardless of various attempts to configure from both the web front
end and by changing the config files. I have a hard time giving up
but I have spent so much time on this and I wonder if it is even worth
the continued effort.

Hi Christopher,

Sorry you have had such a rough ride!,

Having been round this loop a few times helping people I discovered
there are a lot of variables and a couple of gotcha's, If you are up
for it the best way is to hang a cloth over the lens, temporary port
forward the camera to the web and private email me
(dave...@gmail.com) with the IP. I will log in, do my best to get it
working and email you the needed config.

No guarantees that I will get it working .... but I have not failed
yet :)
