Entity replacement other than in <text> of <BalloonStyle>

Hi All,
All documentation only talks about entity replacement in <text> of
<BalloonStyle>
I would like to know whether I can use entity replacement in other
styles?
For example, let <width> of <LineStyle> be equal to the width of the
plane (small lines for Cesnas and bigger lines for Boeing 747s).
Feedback is welcome!
