Retrieve the kml files ( 3D map data) using google earth api

Hi

We are writing an application where we need to render the 3D map data
using our 3D engine.

Is there any api in google earth which returns the 3D map data ( kml
files). We need to render this data by our 3D enigne.

We do not want to use the google earth rendering engine. The google
earth api should return the 3D map data.

Hey, I also joined the group specifically for some similar query.

Only with the difference that I require the 2D map data from google
maps and not google earth. Some one suggested me that it is possible
through KML.

Please help.
