Hi

I looking for a tool which would make it possible to convert xml to kml.

Is there any standard of transcoding between xml and kml?

Thanks

Eric

Well KML is XML (a flavor of)

There is a standard of 'XML stylesheet transformations' that might help you out, for example:
http://www.inquiry.com/techtips/wireless_pro/10min/10min0800.asp

As XML is very generic it wholly depend on how your XML is formed as to how best to transform to a KML version of XML.

Don't forget the KML documentation:
http://earth.google.com/kml/

while you are there you could also look at the <schema> tag which can be used to have Google Earth do some of the transformation for you! (but I don't know the specifics)

I have made an HTML Application last year.
Check it out. You will also find several style sheets from GPX to KML, KML to GPX etc.

I have also an XSD schema there.
XSLT html application

You will find some threads on this application as well

You can also send KML from a webpage using the Keyhole(GE) ActiveX API.

There is a thread on that aswell.

Good Luck
