How to get GE current view coords into web page

Anyone know if it's possible for a web page running in the embedded GE browser to get the current view coordinates? I'm using the boundary as one of my filters for a database query. I thought of using view-based refresh, but there are several other user-specified parameters that need to go into the query. I also thought of embedding an activeX control as an object in the page, but I'm afraid that it would be a short term solution, since axtiveX controls (in web pages) will soon go the way of the dodo.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
