Stumped

Can't figure out why I can't load the attached KMZ file with GE. It works fine if I unzip it and open the KML file. But doesn't work when zipped to a KMZ.

Any help appreciated....thanks.

Nevermind, for some reason it works if I use GE to make the KMZ, but not Windows zip utility. Odd.

Hi Forkboy,

GE corrects any kml errors when you save it from GE. But zipping it manually stucks GE.

It is not a zip problem but something in your kml.

I cant investigate it but I removed all but Abbott and tried it. It works then. A placemark in the list seems creating a problem.

I think that the problem is in the fact that the file inside your .kmz is "doc.KML" and not "doc.kml" (all lowercase). Try this out and let me know if this works for you. I was able to get it to work once I changed that in your .kmz.
