Good day,

I'm a newbie in KML, really, I started working with it yesterday. I
used the Google Earth to create my first poligon, and today I decided
to edit it a little. And...I have no found the way to edit the
existing poligons. I've loaded GE Path and KML Editor, but they allows
to edit KML files only in the text mode.

The question is: is there way to edit/correct existing polygons in KML
files visually?

Thanks in advance,
Serge.

Google Earth is a visual editor!

It can be used to edit polygons. Right click and select 'Properties'
you can then drag the points. I dont remember exactly how but pretty
sure you can also insert new points.

(You can also import KML into Google Maps, and edit polygons there...
Use the My Maps feature, and you can also export back out as KML)

Hi Barry,

Maybe I have too old Google Earth version (Google Earth Pro
4.2.0205.5730), but it allows to edit only just created polygons and
does not allow to change the stored ones. Or I have no found way to do
this (Polygon - Properties does not work).

I'll try to play with Google Maps import/export, thanks for the idea.

Serge.

I've tryed Google Maps.

Yes, it is possible to import my *.klm file there and yes, it is easy
to edit it (I wish I have the same in Google Earth). But how to export
the edited map back to my local computer? I tryed to do this using
link "Show in Google Earth" and I saved the exported *.kml file to my
disk and I can open it using Google Earth. But it is completely
different file! Instead of set of a polygon's coordinates I have just
a link now!

So, the question is still open: is there way to edit the existing maps
