Why does is my KML not showing up..?

I have been getting familiar with Google Maps in order to show GIS
data as overlays in our webpage.

So, I am new to programming the API as well as a new programmer..

I have a KML I have been trying to test to see if it works in Google
maps and am afraid I've not coded the page correctly or something..

My test page is somewhat of a mess as I have been testing various
scripts I find interesting.

The KML shows up in Google Earth fine and I had someone else try to
add to Google Map as well and they were able to put in myMaps on
Google Map.

So, WTF! why doesn't it work when I am trying to do it from my end.. I
up date and create multiple webpages for the Planning dept all the
time and never have a problem loading pages or images.. So, I must be
missing something, Right?

I too am new to this and have been trying to figure this stuff out my
self. I can upload KMLs in MyMaps, but I think the API requires the
KML to reside on a server (somewhere with an http address in order to
work.) It is a pain in the A** for me too. Wish I could build an
interface that would upload the KML from my hard drive. Not sure what
your code looks like, but if someone else can uplad the kmal to
MYMaps, then it is a good KML, must be in the API interface
somewhere. If you kml isn't on an http website, then try that and
point you code to retrieving that. If you already have, then sorry,
tried....
