Hi,

I searched for this subject, but i couldn't find answer for it.

How can i exract a graphic file (jpg, tiff, gif) from a KMZ/KML file. the grphic file has been imported in KMZ file, and it's not possible to view the KMZ/KML codes by a text Editor; the graphic file is imported in the KMZ as "Overlay", in "\images" foldee!!! I found it by getting properties from KMZ file.

Please guide me

KMZ it is simple Zip of KML.
You can save kmz file as KML from GE or use unzip.
I use Total Comander and see KMZ by Ctrl+PgDn

Hello,

You could also rename the KMZ (not KML) file from ".kmz" to ".zip" and then open that file with WinZip (or similar). You'll then see a file called "doc.kml" (a text file containing the KML code) and all the other files referenced - including the any image files.

Thanks to call

I tested it. It's OK.
both ways work.

1. Use a file manager like Total Commander and to compressed file(KMZ) [e.g. ctrl+down] , then copying the files.

OR

2. change the extension from KMZ to ZIP and use winzip, winrar,... to extract the file.

Thank you very much.
