Hello,

Anyone know of a (free?) tool for, or easy way of, combining polygons?

I guess this would be a great feature in a later release (hint, hint)

I tried manually combining two and now my head hurts.

The lines of co-ordinates were also too long to import into Excel

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Simon.

In the free realm, these may be possibilities--

FWTools: Convert back and forth from KML to Shapefile

QGis or uDig: Probably have tools to dissolve or merge polygons.

Good luck,

BT

Thanks Brian,

I've created a fantastically cumbersome and limited process with Excel (first using find/replace in MS Word!) and then finding all the duplicate co-ordinates with a macro before manually copy and pasting them into one list.

It would be good not to have to do this any more! I'll have a search on your suggestions...

Cheers,

Simon.
