Hi,

I have a number of Tours for GE5 in which I move a Camera every 0.1
secs along path 1m above the ground (relativeToGround).

This is fine if I have Terrain turned off but I seem to spend alot of
time flying, rather than driving, when Terrain is on.

Am I doing simething wrong? Any ideas how I can keep my wheels
grounded. Here's a sample Tour.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Hi Nymor,

I just spoke with our KML tour 'master', and (a) he loved this tour,
and so did I and (b) he mentioned that it's a known bug without a
clear workaround, unfortunately. I'll keep thinking about this and
will let you know if any ideas come up.

Hi Roman,

Thanks for the reply. Shame there isn't a workaround :(. I guess for
now I'll just recommend that people take the tours with terrain off.
Please do keep thinking on it though as a solution would be greatly
appreciated.

Also chuffed you and your tour 'master' like it :)

Nymor

ps. For anyone interested the file in which these tours exist can be
found in the Sports and Hobbies forum at
http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1208042#Post1208042
Hopefully a Mod over there will like the whole collection enough to
move it to the Moderated forum so it doesn't drop too far down the
list too soon. I intend adding the remaining tours as soon as I get
time - maybe this w/e could be when I get them done.

Hi Roman,

Did you have any ideas on how to solve this bug?

It would be really cool to be able to get this working properly.

TIA
Nymor

Hi Nymor,

Sorry for the delay; can you verify that this still occurs in the new
version of Google Earth 5 (5.0.11733.9347)?

Also, I forgot... did you file a public bug for this? If not, go ahead
and do that, I'll look for the bug internally and link them up so I
can notify you as soon as it's fixed.

Thanks,
Roman

Hi Roman,

Still there unfortunately :(

another example is the Spanish GP - as it's terrain is more
exaggerated than the Australian one in the 1st post
http://TheKMZ.co.uk/ge/kmlfiles/f1_2009/LapTour_Australia.kmz

Set the Touring options to 10m and 80 tilt with terrain on and it
bounces all over the place when terrain is on.

I didn't make a report - will try and do so now but having not done
one before I'm not 100% sure of where/what to do.

Regards
Nymor
