I would like to to plot a picture

I would like to to plot a picture as a png with groundOvelay over some terrain. Since I have google earth 7 and not pro version I can not switch off the terrain. For the picture to get the right height everywhere in the area I cannot not use absolute position and since the groundOverlay are supposed to be placed above ground I cannot lock it to ground level. That is why I wonder if anyone know if this function has any support in groundOverlay? anh sex I works just fine for Placemarks. Does it have any support for groundOverlay and in that case how do I program it?
