hey guys,

i found a lot on this topic for google earth, but nothing on google maps...

i want to auto-update a kml layer in a certain time interval in google maps. for earth it seems to work with a network link, but is it also possible for google earth?

i don't want to refresh the whole page or the whole map, just the kml layer should fetch an update regularly and automatically.

any suggestions? thx a lot.

As long as your kml file references an href and has a refresh interval
written into it, then it should auto update in maps. The difference
is that your kml will have to be posted online, not on the local
machine as it is in earth. Be advised the icons will not look the
same in maps as in GE.

Hi,
I also have the same problem.
I need to generate a .png image 'on the fly' and put it on Google Maps.
Can I do it using KML and server-side scripting languages?

I wonder the capability of the KML and the PHP/Python...scripts?
My thread also here.

Thanks in advace.
