Howdy -

I posted this in the Google Earth forum, but it was suggested that I
re-post over here...

I just noticed that a KML that I have had on my Google Earth saved
places for ages now doesn't appear correctly.

What I mean by correctly is that when you are zoomed out much of the
detail is gone but the detail reappears as you zoom in closer. The
file consists of paths that were created from a lot of GPS points.

It's about a 3.5MB file.

Any ideas on why this just started happening recently and what can be
done to view the entire file (again)? I don't necessarily want to
reduce the
number of data points - don't feel like taking the thing into ArcMap
and generalizing points - and I use this file to geocode photos.

I'm attaching the kmz version of the file (it's the only one hosted
anywhere). If the link doesn't work change the %20s to spaces - yes I
was lazy when I posted the file originally.

Thanks.

I would trying changing your viewing mode (eg changing to OpenGL from
DirectX)

Someone posted about a similar issue before, and I could see the same
thing, and changing to OpenGL fixed it for me.

Alternativly you might be able to update your Video Card Drivers and/
or DirectX itself.

(searching for OpenGL in this group should find the original posts
talking about this issue)

Barry -

You know - I think that I had that same idea last night, switched back
to OpenGL, went home and promptly forgot what I had done.

It did fix the problem.

Also, I wasn't sure what to search for within the group - but will
check out the post anyway.

Thanks for the response.
