I'm just wondering if it's possible to search/select a feature (i.E
polygon) based ot it's attributes in Google earth. example is to
select a parcel within a city by APN number. Hope someone can help me
out.

Hi Jason,

No, there's currently no way to select by parcel in Google Earth.

What you can do is set-up a view-based NetworkLink, using viewFormat
and httpQuery:
http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/kml_tags_beta1.html#viewformat
http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/kml_tags_beta1.html#httpQuery

Which allow you to put in various parameters, such as the bounding box
you are looking at and the terrain height. That could be processed by
a script that the NetworkLink points to.
