Windows 11 break VirtualBox. This is a known issue.
I
had to upgrade my VirtualBox after that. However, my old VirtualBox
Ubuntu installations still could not be booted up even after the
upgrade.
I was able to reinstall Ubuntu 22 on windows 11 with the new virtualbox.
However,
I did not have sudo priveleges. So I needed to enter the Ubuntu
recovery mode. After entering as root, The remount didn't work but was
unnecessary, I was able to add my account to sudo with the command to do
so.
It's
likely that by 2024 we will be switching to recommending Windows Linux
Subsystem and Docker, since those two technologies have (maybe) finally
progressed far enough for that to be the recommended way of running
kmcos on windows machines.
