Dear KMCC Club President and VPEdu,

Thanks a million for your great support for the grand success of Area 2 annual speech contest 2018. Feedback confirm it was one of the best Area contest held in Island in this year.  As we are moving to end of the term, it’s time to find out our new Area 2 leader.

Please be informed that the election of the next Area Director for 2018-19 will be held in the month of April ’18 immediate after Div C contest. Correct date and venue will be announced later on.

If any of your club member would like to take the role of Area Director for next term, they can send their nomination either through their club President / VP Education or they can send directly to me as well. Nomination from the floor will also be accepted.

Last date for receiving nominations:  5^th April 2018

Last date to withdraw the nominations: 12^th April 2018

Qualification /Criteria needed for Area Director's role: 

 

If practicable, each candidate should have served at least six months as a member of a District Council (Club President or Vice President Education). "Practicable" is defined as "desired, but not required".  Each Club in the Area may submit to the Area Director, in writing, any member in good standing as a candidate for Area Director. The Area Director places the names of candidates from the Clubs in nomination at the election. Nominations then will be accepted from the floor as well. After the nominations are closed, if there is only one candidate, the Area Director declares that candidate elected. If there are two or more candidates, there will be an election process as per TMI guidelines by secret ballot.

 

The voting members of the Area Council are the President, Vice President Education and Vice President Membership for each Club in the Area.

 

Kindly note of this email as one month notice for the election to take place. Please ensure that you receive an acknowledgement notification email from side for the nomination you or your member forwarded to me.
