Welcome to the latest edition of KMaiL, a weekly e-mail update from Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.

- - KML HIGH SCHOOL NEWS AND INFORMATION - -

= MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE! =

We are past the halfway mark towards our 2015 goal of 300 Builders!!   So why is becoming a KML Builder so important?  Your new or increased auto-withdrawal will qualify for an additional $500 incentive gift to KML from an anonymous donor.  The Joyful Noise you are providing is consistent, predictable income in support of our students that will help build their faith through a stronger school for generations.  Visit www.kmlhs.org/autogift to donate now.

= 2015 AUCTION REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING =
Don't miss out on the early bird reservation of $65 per person!  Price increases to $75 beginning April 5 and the final date to make a reservation is April 10. The $65 fee includes a tax deductible contribution to KMLHS of $15 ($25 for the $75 ticket price).  Donations deadline is also approaching - April 8!  For more information or to register, go to kmlhs.org/auction .

=HOST FAMILIES NEEDED =
KML's International program is looking for host families for the 2015/2016 school year. Students stay from August to the end of May. Host families are able to share their faith and our American culture with these young people while receiving a stipend to offset any costs.  Please join us for one of our Host Family Information meetings: Tuesday 4/7 or Wednesday 4/8 at KML at 6:30 pm. Contact Wendy Robinson at wendy.r...@kmlhs.org or262-677-4051 x1111 for more information.

= ELECTRONICS RECYCLING =
There are some big changes coming to KML's annual Community Electronics Recycling Event on
April 10 (2:00 - 5:00pm) and 11 (7:00am - 2:00pm). This is an opportunity for people to dispose of
unused and broken electronic items in an environmentally responsible way. A wide variety of items
including TVs, computers, cell phones and other electronic devices will all be accepted.  More information is available at www.kmlhs.org/recycle.
IMPORTANT CHANGES:
  • Old style televisions (CRT/tube, projection, console) will now cost $15 each (paid in cash -exact change only). CRT computer monitors and plasma, LED, and LCD flat screen TVs are still free.
  • We now accept small appliances that contain Freon (dehumidifiers, window air conditioners, etc.) and batteries of any kind (alkaline, lead acid, NiCad, NiMH, Li-ion, etc.).
  • The collection point will now be the PAC parking lot - no early drop offs accepted.

PLANT SALE =

Charger Club is having our annual plant sale in time for Mother’s Day, orders due by April 15 and delivered on May 7.  Order and pay online  at edtomassetti.wix.com/kmlchargerclub7 or print out the order form at www.kmlhs.org/plantsale.

= REMEMBER ECHO FEST? =

We’re going retro this year for Family Music Fest 2015!  Remember Echo Fest?  Do you still have an old Echo Fest admission button floating around?  Please reserve Friday, April 17, from 5:00-9:00 pm for Retro Fest.  This event will support our music department.  In addition to our elementary school and high school musical performances, we will feature a chili dinner, games, auctions, and the dessert bar and will showcase the Grade School Art Fair exhibits.  Join us for a night of music, food, and family fun with some new surprises, special guests, and trips down memory lane.  Anyone presenting an Echo Fest button at the door will receive free admission!

We are asking for pie and basket donations for auction.  Please consider helping!  If you have questions or would like to volunteer or join the Family Music Fest Committee, please contact Andrea Semmann (414-588-7725 or alse...@gmail.com) or Ann Jahns (414-659-1511 or jahns...@yahoo.com).

= QUILTERS' CAFE =

KMLHS is hosting another Quilters' Cafe on May 2-3rd, 2015.  We are looking for volunteers for this fun event.  Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts and will receive a FREE lunch and FREE admission to the Quilters' Cafe.  Ticket sellers and kitchen help are needed to staff the event from 8-5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Do you enjoy baking?  We also need donations of desserts to sell at this event.  We are looking for tortes, pies, and cakes.  NO bars or cookies.  Desserts go for $3.00 a piece, so think of what you might see at a bakery.  It doesn’t have to be time consuming.  If it looks good and tastes good, it will sell.  These women are looking for something they wouldn’t get every day like a brownie or chocolate chip cookie.  Any German desserts like Schaum Torte go well.

If interested in helping, please call Sarah Rabas (414-526-2374) or Amy Schulz (262-224-5581).

= E3 - KML SUMMER ACADEMY =

KML will be hosting various academic, fine arts, and sports camps this summer for both youth and adults. Please pass the information on to friends and family that would be interested in attending. Camp flyers and registration forms are available in the rack outside the KML main office, from your elementary school office, or on our website at kmlhs.org/e3 .

= THE BIBLE AT THE RIVOLI ON GOOD FRIDAY =
The Bible's last episode Passion will be shown at the Rivoli in Cedarburg twice on Good Friday, April 3, 2015 at 3:00 & 4:30pm.  There will be no cover charge.  This free event, hosted by Our Savior Lutheran in Grafton, is open to the public.  Rated PG-13, the movie is appropriate for families with older children.  Special thanks to the Rivoli for sharing their screen with our communities. You can contact Pastor Mark C. Wagner at 262-377-6363 or oslco...@wi.rr.com with questions.
The Bible comes to life in this epic series.  From Genesis to Revelation, these unforgettable stories unfold through live action and cutting-edge computer-generated imagery, offering new insight into famous scenes and iconic characters.  Created by producer Mark Burnett and featuring an international cast that includes Roma Downey.  This docudrama explores the sacred text’s most significant episodes.
This showing, on Good Friday afternoon, will focus solely on the last episode of the miniseries:  Passion.  In this episode Peter denies Jesus and Judas hangs himself; the crowds clamors for Jesus’s death; Jesus is crucified, but when Mary Magdalene goes to his tomb, a figure walks towards her - he is risen.  John sees the empty tomb and believes that Jesus has come back to life, just as he said.
