Good afternoon,

I am a new kilosort2/phy2 user and I have noticed inconsistencies with the amplitudes of the different waveform view displays (spike waveforms, mean spike waveforms, template waveforms). In some instances there is a good overlap of each display, however, there is also often a very low amplitude spike waveform display paired with relatively high mean spike waveform and template waveform displays. I have attached a PDF with screenshots of clusters from the same kilosort output. In these examples the the n spike waveforms was set to 100.

Could someone explain whether this inconsistency is normal and if so, under what conditions I might expect a mismatch between the waveform view amplitudes?

Thank you,
Claire
