Hi friends...
We have the DBMS lab in this semester. We work in the SQL server in Windows XP OS.
I have the system with Windows Vista OS.I can't able to install the oracle10g in Vista.
But i have the Fedora 11 with Mysql installed. Is Mysql queries & sql Queries are same?

Or give an alternative to install the Oracle 10g in Linux.

With regards,

Kannan. R. P,

SQL is a language, and MySQL is an implementation of the ANSI SQL 99 standard.

Hi Kannan,

Shakthi said it correctly.
SQL commands should work in the same way in all the database systems like Mysql, oracle, DB2.
oracle for linux can be downloaded from oracle site, the link is,
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
