About the Walk: KLODB’s fourth walk of 2021 -- celebrating our Silver Jubilee Year!
Its’ Valentine’s Day! Spring time … the Season of Love. Let’s all wear something yellow! The colour of Marigold and Mustard fields.
From the Humayun Tomb car parking assembly point, we walk down the lane towards Sunder Nursery.
Our first stop is Chilla Shareef of Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. His Dargah is across the road. But what is Chilla Shareef … and why is this also called his Khanqah? Do you know about Ishqiya Silsila – and celebration of Sufi Basant?
Step across a few centuries … to Damdama Sahib, the serene Sikh Gurudwara where we hear the songs of Love and Peace.
Do you know about this holy ground? How Guru Govind Singh nearly changed the history of India … with a secret meeting with an aspirant Mughal prince in Aurangzeb’s last years?
Tales consigned to the footnotes of history! Walk with KLoDB on Valentine’s Day. Carry a rose or a marigold … Exchange greetings of Love.
From here, we retrace our steps back…and disperse at the gates of the Sunder Nursery.
