The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) invites youth from Asia-Pacific to apply for the 4th ASEF Young Leaders Summit. The Summit is a fully-funded 10-month long youth leadership programme which focuses on ‘Sustainable Development in a post-COVID-19 World’. The aim of the programme is to connect young people with the Heads of States and Governments from 51 Asian and European countries and the political Leaders of the EU and the ASEAN Secretariat.
Important dates and information
- The programme period is February to November 2021, consisting of three phases:
- Knowledge Building: 22 February – 28 May 2021, taking place virtually.
- Youth Summit at the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit: 29 May – 2 June 2021, taking place on-site in Cambodia or virtually (pending public health and safety guidelines and travel recommendations).
- Leadership in Action: June – November 2021, taking place virtually and on-site in local ASEM communities.
- Eligible candidates are students, entrepreneurs, academics and young professionals ages 18 to 30, who are citizens of any of the 51 ASEM Partner countries.
- The deadline for applications is 3 February 2021, GMT 23:59.
