Stones, Stories, Spooks and Saints  : Lal Kot and Sanjay Van

Welcome to KLoD.B in its 25th year of walking. We started our silver year with a walk to the tomb of Abdul Rahim Khane Khana.
To continue the journey join us on 31st January 2021 at Lal Kot. Lal Kot was established by Rajputs more than 1000 years ago near Mehrauli. Though the remnants of their city are few, the location still holds in its fold many stories of the past replete with action, adventure, and fun with spooks and saints for company.

The walk takes us over a wall on which the mighty Tomar kings once stood, passes through a scrub and tree forest of the ridge where several fliers of different feathers flock together. The well-trodden path then leads us to a shrine of a Sufi saint Hazrat Aashiq Allah who graced the area about 800 years ago the time Qutub Minar was built.
The walk is led by Anita and Ayush. Anita has an eagle's eye to spot the tiniest of birds in a bush or tree. Ayush is a heritage and history enthusiast and co-founder of the KLoD.B

And as always at the end of the walk like always with KLoD. B there is an option of delectable local cuisine at fine roadside dining or at a diner.
