Dear all

This Sunday get a chance to be a geologist right here in Delhi. We visit the Indira Gandhi memorial near Rajghat, at Shakti Sthal

About the place

Shaki sthal , the memorial site of Ms, Indira Gandhi the ex Prime Minister houses several samples of rocks from across the subcontinent These rocks tell stories of the earth it's nearly 7 billion years of eventful life and becoming the country as we know it today from the time the hot molten ball was formed to when the  crust cooled forming continents , joining together  to create the supercontinents to shifting away , breaking up many times to form land masses as we are familiar today- the Indian land mass has seen a whole lot of drama. the rocks will form the back drop for telling of this story- the Big history narrative within which the human history is only a small fragment and entirely depended on it. 

Essentials: bring water and wear walking shoes .

Jaya Iyer: is a teacher, storyteller, traveler, artist, activist She has worked in the field of process theatre, development education and community art She has twenty five years of experience. She is one of the founder member of the group

Dear all

This Sunday we explore one the most magnificent, mysterious and mused over monument in Delhi- Tughlqabad fort. 

About the place

sprawling over several square kilometers, this 14th century fort was a dream project of Ghyasuddin Tughlaq, the founder of Tughlaq dynasty- whose mausoleum is located right across the fort. The imposing structure with massive ramparts and bastions is located near Asola wild life sanctuary and Karni Singh shooting range. 

there are many wellknown and several not so known stories, facts and legends about this fascinaating place.

About the facilitator

Ayushman Chowdhary : one of the founder members of KLODB, he is deeply interested in heritage, nature and learning processes. He had worked extensively in the field of environment and education. hHe is currently working on a few projects on inclusive education.
