i just did ask another question, but making a new thread so it exists for posterity and anyone coming in future here might find this helpful.

so basically, the subject.

why is there no <STARTUP> tag in the newer klish? is there something that i am not getting. for now, whenever a user ssh's into the device, i have a wrapper script setup that first prints my ascii art and later runs `exec klish`.

is there a better approach or anything that anyone else might have used?

thank you,
dharmik

Hi

It's planned each VIEW has a "hooks". The "hook" on VIEW enter event, hook on VIEW leaving event etc. So STARTUP message it's just a "main" VIEW's "enter" hook's ACTION. But hooks are not implemented yet.

We used an wrapper script for klish as a fast work-around.
