Its all well and good 'reinventing the wheel' by adding common trainer features to the menu (and i respect there is value to it for educational reasons without a doubt), but doing it a bit differently would make it stand out as both another decent example of RageHook use (of which the few really decent ones wouldn't use all the fingers on one hand - and i don't need to quote the good ones).

An example of that, which you could use for reference, is stuff like the 'i' series mods and the ones that came before them - where each was enabling a specific set of related functions highly focused to the theme of the mod as a modular or standalone thing.

So you could pick, as a simple example, a handful of common trainer functions all commonly used together, give them a group name (for single menu entry purposes per 'group') and selecting the 'group' by it's menu entry enables all in the group or none - giving a bit of hotkey simplicity to pre-selecting a lot of commonly grouped functions.

You'd then be giving a good idea of a use for the menu, by it's proof of principle application as a trainer, doing it a little differently on two levels on how it's delivered, and assuming you open the code to it - giving a further educational resource where people can see how the menu system works, and how you cleverly applied uncommon approaches by integrating lots of commonly used single functions.

However you go, stick with it whilst it interests you and be damned about the critics - sure, give their thoughts (where meaningful) a hearing, but the anti ones that are anti because it's RageHook focused - those can be disregarded as you have your reasons for trying that route, so if that's your choice than go with your instincts.

No question in regards to your mod, but do you know how to turn off. if possible....the rage plugin hook version number at the bottom of the right hand screen when you play the game. its kinda annoying, and havent found anything about it

You do not know how to properly write installation instructions. Tried doing this with LSPDFR and it won't work. Who the hell wants just a RageHook Trainer when their are many other ScriptHook ones? Make this mod so that it works with LSPDFR

It has the same folders in both the installation and update folder. The instructions tell you to update BEFORE installing. I maybe new to modding GTA 5 but have modded FO4 for years and never come across something like this!!

Well this is not working in 2021.. did what it said.. does nothing... good try though.. it's not like over 11 million people waiting for Blade to update or anything...lol dam that's more people than who voted for Creepy Joe Biden...

first of all thanks for being awesome creating this trainer

however, it looks like the trainer in We-Mod does not show anything and i cant click anything

i tried uninstall and install the Wemod but everything stays the same

If a trainer fails a dog in class the likelihood that that person will attend another class is about 0%. And now we have an at risk dog because their human has probably not learned how to manage their dog when they are scared, stressed or over threshold. Most people that flunked class have never even heard those terms, they only know their dog could not hold a down stay beside the dog that was eyeballing them. Would you lie down on the floor with a dog that was eyeballing you? The expectations that we place on so many dogs in the name of training is out of proportion with what the dog is capable of in many instances.

I am an opinionated bitch (yes I said it) and oftentimes cannot hold my tongue and get myself into trouble. I am oftentimes not well liked. I realize that, but I have no control when it comes to dogs that are put at risk because we cannot take the time to get to the underlying issue of behavior and choose to look for a quick fix.

There are days my heart hurts so much I want to sell the business and move to the beach. Then a Charlie shows up in class. Charlie never sat, rarely looked at his human when asked and pretty much looked like he was doing whatever he wanted. I saw a dog that was terrified of other dogs and none too sure of the human race either. Okay Charlie, you can just hang out for the next four weeks and we will take care of you. Guess what? At the end of the four weeks, Charlie pranced around that class like a boss. He greeted other dogs, wagged at humans and mom said he is not going crazy on walks anymore when he sees other dogs.

And so next week I will start another round of classes with eight new dogs with very different personalities and we will do what we need to do to help that dog feel a little success. He or She will receive their diploma and applause from everyone because that dog did the best they could and this Trainer would never dream of flunking him.

The following letter was sent to me from Kaat (pictured above with her dogs, including Blooper) after we exchanged e-mails discussing dog training with positive reinforcement. The main focus of our discussions were some of the petitions to ban e-collars and a video clip I have on YouTube that demonstrates using a remote training collar to work with a dog that is having aggression issues.

I could impose leadership with cookies all I wanted. Blooper did fine and obeyed me as long as he was not in a panic-state of mind. It seems logical now. Polite employees let their boss go trough the door first, unless the building is on fire!

When Blooper attacked a young Malinois pup who approached him I came to the end of my rope. Because dog-aggression is like throwing a stone into water. It traumatizes other dogs and can thus leads to aggression in the other dog, who then makes other victims and so on. It had to stop!

He now lives peacefully with two other shelter dogs. Gets compliment on walks for his outstanding and exemplary obedience. (Which only proves how exceptional an obedient dog has become since the hype of training only with positive operant conditioning, which is, in my modest opinion, not so positive at all).

1 The application of slightly unpleasant as a motivator is always applicable in the amount needed for a specific dog with a specific drive (at that moment). This is not the case with hunger because it diminishes slowly, and so does your control.

**note: the authors reference to NEPOPO, is a term Mr. Bellon uses to help others understand the reinforcement sequence when using e-collar training. It is an acronym for; Negative, Positive, Positive.

Instead of the science definition of what is positive (added) and what is taken away (negative), he is using his term to mean simply mean there is something aversive that happens (such as the e-stim at just the right level), then there is something good that happens (the e-stim stops) and then there is another good that happens (a reward such as food treats or ball reward). This makes his training system much more easily understood by the average owner. There is the science and then there is the application of that science.

I want to quickly make just one more comment re the previous post The acronym NEPOPO for negative positive positive does not adhere learning theory. Would be better for the conversation on both sides to at least define and use terms with consistency. If the first stimulus to the dog is to add then it is Positive if it decreases the behavior then It is punishment. Then if you remove the shock to get the desired behavior it is negative but reinforcing. And then if you give a treat it is positive and reinforcing. The acronym should be PONEPO. Anytime you add a stimulus it is positive, when you remove it is negative. the other part is what does the addition g or removing do, increase or decrease the behavior. E collars rely on positive punishment and negative reinforcement, and if you follow with a treat the. You have positive reinforcement. I work with autistic children using applied behavior analysis, not dogs. but I think it can only help the debate to have the terms clearly defined and understood by all. :).

Rage Syndrome, also known as Sudden Onset Aggression or Idiopathic Aggression, is a rare and severe behavioural disorder in dogs characterized by sudden, unprovoked, and intense aggression. During an episode, a dog may attack without warning and appear to be in an altered state of consciousness, often not responding to normal stimuli. These episodes can last for several minutes and are followed by the dog returning to its usual behaviour as if nothing happened.

The exact cause of Rage Syndrome is not well understood, but it is believed to have a genetic component and may be more prevalent in certain breeds, such as Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, and Bull Terriers. Neurological factors and abnormalities in brain function are also considered potential contributors.

The reasons for rage syndrome are not clear and obvious. It is believed to be influenced by genetic, neurological, medical, and environmental factors. It is usually presented in sudden outbursts of aggression absent an environmental trigger.
