Hi.

Suppose we gave them $400 of our $1290 for the gowns this year, add a
polite letter explaining our thoughts and purpose, and leaving it at
that? Sort of a compromise position. That pays for about 8 gowns,
and still leaves us money to continue what we want for next year.

Thanks,

John

Hi,

How about this compromise: What if we donated a couple of gowns (fewer than 8) to the Klingenstein Center AND gave the graduates a book (paperback = less expensive)? It would be unfortunate to skip a class; our presentation allows us to connect personally with the students, to describe how our class has stayed in touch, and to motivate these new alumni to do the same. Also, the book is a keepsake; the gowns are not.

I'd be happy to order the bookplates and help coordinate the purchasing of the books. Just let me know.

Best,
Joy
