Our equity-free Activator program is an educational entrepreneurship course designed primarily for PhDs, Masters students, or postdocs tackling the biggest challenges in human health (Bio Track) and sustainability (Eco Track). Since 2019, Nucleate has built strong capabilities for supporting biotech founders out of academia resulting in creating over 200 jobs and raising $310M in funding to develop technologies like protein sequencing (Glyphic), drug design (Manifold Bio), and microbial fertilizer (Ivu Biologics).

The Rotary Positive Peace Activator Program provides selected trainees the opportunity to gain concrete knowledge & resources to foster peace and access to a global network of likeminded peacebuilders.

Serving as a Rotary Positive Peace Activator is a unique opportunity to be part of a larger movement to help build peace at local, community levels, working in partnership with Rotary members, Rotary International, and the Institute for Economics & Peace.

Between 2020 and 2025, more than 200 Positive Peace Activators will be trained in strategic regions around the world. Current cohorts include North America; Latin America; Europe; and Asia. Future Activator cohorts include Africa, Middle East/North Africa, and Oceania.

"Rotary seeks to create the conditions for Positive Peace by funding and implementing local and international peace projects, with Rotary Positive Peace Activators taking the lead to assist clubs and districts. This is Rotary's peace tipping point where Rotary members move from being peace advocates to peace builders."

"Positive Peace is power. Rotary and IEP connect the world like oceans do. The Rotary Positive Peace Activator Program increased my reach to the UK, Europe, and USA, allowing me to connect high school and college students with 'Peace Language' programs."

"Being a Rotary Positive Peace Activator means thinking about peacebuilding globally while working locally. It's not only about working cooperatively, it's about making emotional connections that allow us to empower, restore, and above all, build peaceful communities & safe environments for those who will come after us."

Activator is a six-month, equity-free cohort program designed for academic biotech founders. Most human cells lack sufficient telomerase to maintain telomeres, hence these genetic elements shorten with time and stress, contributing to aging and disease. In January, 2007, a commercial health maintenance program, PattonProtocol-1, was launched that included a natural product-derived telomerase activator (TA-65, 10-50 mg daily), a comprehensive dietary supplement pack, and physician counseling/laboratory tests at baseline and every 3-6 months thereafter. We report here analysis of the first year of data focusing on the immune system. Low nanomolar levels of TA-65 moderately activated telomerase in human keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and immune cells in culture; similar plasma levels of TA-65 were achieved in pilot human pharmacokinetic studies with single 10- to 50-mg doses. The most striking in vivo effects were declines in the percent senescent cytotoxic (CD8(+)/CD28(-)) T cells (1.5, 4.4, 8.6, and 7.5% at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, respectively; p = not significant [N.S.], 0.018, 0.0024, 0.0062) and natural killer cells at 6 and 12 months (p = 0.028 and 0.00013, respectively). Most of these decreases were seen in cytomegalovirus (CMV) seropositive subjects. In a subset of subjects, the distribution of telomere lengths in leukocytes at baseline and 12 months was measured. Although mean telomere length did not increase, there was a significant reduction in the percent short (

The Activator Training Program teaches participants how to engage employers in implementing more equitable hiring and talent management practices. Developed for change leaders, business advisors and workforce specialists, the program provides guidance on how to help employers understand the business benefits and social impact of using skills-based practices to hire, retain, and develop staff.

The Activator program is suitable for people that advise employers on topics such as business development; hiring, human resources; and equity and inclusion. Previous participants have worked at regional and national business networks, Chambers of Commerce, and at large employers where they have been championing change within their own organization.

The Rework America Alliance is now led by Jobs for the Future (JFF). Alliance tools and resources are shared by JFF to support its North Star goal to help 75 million people facing systemic barriers to advancement move into quality jobs within the next 10 years. You can still access Alliance resources here while JFF works to get them live on its site, at www.jff.org/idea/rework-america-alliance.

Episcopal Election Activators is an Episcopal Church program, run by the Office of Government Relations, that seeks volunteers to help promote and facilitate local non-partisan election engagement efforts in their state or region of the U.S.! Applications are open for the 2024-2025 cohort, which will run from January 2024 to December 2025 with varying levels of engagement based on the election calendar. Individuals may apply at any time, even as the program is underway.

Being an Election Activator is a commitment to the program through 2025. We will ask all Episcopal Election Activators to provide updates on their work, to connect with local parishes, to help share resources within their networks, and to help direct and mobilize Episcopalians to support elections through voter registration, voter education, providing rides to the polls on election day, and other tasks beyond getting out the vote.

We are hoping to find Episcopalians who love justice and who feel a particular call to public policy advocacy and election engagement. As always, our work in the Office of Government Relations and The Episcopal Church is entirely non-partisan. Activators will be expected to sign a pledge of non-partisanship in order to participate.
