The new post is titled:

Unraveling the Klamath Bureaucratic Knot: What is the KBCC and what is
it up to?

The new post features a report from KlamBlog correspondent Felice Pace
on the April 7th public meeting of the Klamath Basin Coordinating
Council (KBCC) and on the meeting the day before from which the public
- and those Klamath River interests which did not sign the Dam and
Water Deals - were excluded.

The KBCC aspires to be put in charge of managing Upper Klamath River
Basin water as well as salmon and watershed restoration basin-wide.

This post also looks at the recently released KBRA Drought Plan and
asks whether Klamath dam removal under the Dam and Water Deals is in
the interest of Klamath Salmon if - as scientists are now telling us -
water quality after dam removal will be worse in some months below
Iron Gate AND if - as specified in the KBRA Water Deal - irrigators
are given another 10,000 acre feet of water once the dams are breached
whether or not new storage has been developed or water demand has been
reduced.

This post is from John Sully of Ashland Oregon. It's titled:

Meeting TMDL Levels in the Klamath Basin

In the post John proposes an approach to solving the severe water
quality problems found in the Upper Klamath River Basin. Nutrient rich
water from Upper Basin agriculture along with similarly polluted water
from the Shasta and Scott Valleys must be cleaned up if we are to
restore Klamath Salmon and the other beneficial uses of the Klamath
River. The debate is on about how that clean-up can be effectively
accomplished.

Check out John's ideas and add your own at KlamBlog!
