Today's post is titled:

Whales, worms and water: A month on the Klamath

Among several subjects covered in this post is this bombshell:

PacifiCorp has used the KHSA’s dispute resolution process to
negotiate a deal with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and
the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) which will allow the company
and Reclamation to cut Klamath River flows below “minimum” flows set
out in the 2010 Biological Opinion. The decision to further lower
minimum river flow requirements - which were already lowered in the
2010 Biological Opinion in order to conform to the KBRA Water Deal -
is hidden in the body of letters exchanged by PacifiCorp, Reclamation
and MNFS.

Read about that deal to further cut minimum Klamath River flows,
what's going on this year in the Scott River Valley, the latest news
on federal legislation to authorize the KHSA Dam Deal and the KBRA
Water Deal and about the message Momma the Gray Whale may have brought
to humans at www.KlamBlog.blogspot.com.
