Unusual grebe behavior

Maybe others have seen this behavior, but I never have. At Putnam's Point today, parents were feeding several chicks in the same area which seemed to be upsetting to everyone. The chicks seemed to not care which one fed them... their parent...or another chick's parent. But the parents seemed upset by the chaos. This happened after a long period of  tension and reactive rushes and chases.
