Item for sale

I received feedback that a seller listed an item on this group server recently. While I am very opposed to selling of any items  on this group list, I will say that I did give permission for this seller to post. I know, I wasn't consistent, an probably should have given a heads up about this item. But, in this case I felt that the item would enable someone to gain better equipment for birding. The person is from the Rogue Valley. 

I do not get requests to sell items, so I don't think this exception will create an issue. But, after thinking about it now, I will likely not allow sales period in the future, and get back to not being discretionary or selective. Afterall, those of you who signed up don't want email soliciting for some item.

Even though I am on the fence on this, being someone who can't afford brand new high quality equipment and seeing that possible value for this item, there are probably many internet locations where items can be bought and sold that can be used other than KBBN. 

My apologies for not giving a heads up about this change in policy. The membership was very good about dealing with a rash of spam a few months ago that was able to breach the system and thankfully it seems to have been quashed. This one was allowed by me after a converation. I think this one is fine, and we will move on after this.  I will be reverting back to and sticking to policy in the future. I appreciate your vigilance and feedback.  Thanks!
