Klamath Basin Audubon is having a Brain Storm meeting for this upcoming year, and I'm applealing to to you all to come with your ideas. This is a very important meeting to draw upon your ideas so that we all can stay current in what conservation activities are happening in our local area, and why they are important. This includes ideas for our General Meetings, Field Trips, and can even be ideas for Education.
Your ideas are very important and the KBAS officers and board want to hear from you. Your ideas will help to keep this chapter vibrant and moving forward, which is to have high interest topics for meetings, Field Trips that keep us knowledgeable of birds and their local necessary habitat requirements, and to spread this information out to our community and beyond with Education. This in turn creates an atmosphere of concern, interest, and action.
It would be awesome if you attend in person. You are then able to elaborate on your ideas. Your ideas then become alive with your details and others can visualize it better. Ideas take off with enthusiasm and your presence will encourage others to support good ideas. This means that this appeal for you to attend can go beyond KBAS membership and can include conservation minded community members!
This meeting will be on Saturday, July 26, from 10 am to about Noon, at the bottom conference floor of the Favell Museum.
The meeting will consist of coffee, or light beverage, along with some tasty pastry treats. After an introduction, those who attend will circulate to tally sheets to write down ideas for each or most topic areas posted. After posting ideas, each topic area will be covered by allowing questions or asking for additional information or discussion any of the ideas listed. Ideas will be prioritized. All ideas will be retained. The ideas are then used by a board chair member to act upon and helps KBAS reach more of its members and out into the community.
I am counting on your presence at this meeting. Most importantly I am hoping that you come with ideas that are in the best interest of conservation of natural resources we have in the Klamath Basin.
Start writing down your ideas for General Meetings, Field Trips, and Education today. I will see you at this Brain Storm meeting!
You can contact me to let me know that you will attend, and if you can't attend, please, I will still appreciate ideas that you have that you can forward to me. They will be presented.
It will take all of us, KBAS members, and conservation minded community members, putting our minds together to make this next year great!
Hope to see you at this meeting. Write it down. July 26, Saturday, 10 am to Noon, at Favell Museum.
