Some pic from Putnam's Point today. In order to send 3 low res pic, I cropped very heavily. 1 pic is of of a Snowy Egret, and two shots of a Great Egret, fishing. The first fishing frame was #4522, in which he was flipping a fish.
Forty two seconds later he had 3, and maybe 4 minnows in his mouth. If somehow another G. Egret snuck in unseen by me, which I don't think happened, he caught at least 3 fish in 42 seconds
I hope someone can explain how he could catch, and hold on to at least 3 minnows, and it looks like maybe 4.
I have seen Yellow-headed black birds gather a whole mouth full of insects, and then head for its nest, but insects and fish are 2 different things.
Catching, and holding on to live fish, how did this happen? I had heavy shadows when he first flipped the mouthful of fish, and I saw 1 fall down.
At 11:09:05 he was flipping the last of his mouthful of fish. This at frame 4545.
I would like to hear from anyone who can shed some light on what I saw happen today!
