Hey Buchana Nsenga Patrick,
In case you have not been following the action on our Facebook Page, we thought we would share all of the big news that happened last week!
First, we launched Challenge 3 of the Young Innovators Competition on Friday!

Challenge 3 will be run in cooperation with the WHO and focus on Smart Cities and Climate Change. Between now and October 7, we will be working together on concepts for new startups that create innovative solutions for smart cities looking to mitigate or prevent the negative effects of climate change. We need everyone’s ideas, because this is a co-creation challenge. Even if you’re not an expert, even if you don’t have a startup, give your thoughts and help innovators develop these new businesses. If you’re interested in helping us, log on to ideas.itu.int and let us know your ideas.
The best ideas will be featured at the WHO Conference on Health and Climate Change, as part of a presentation which the WHO is currently crowdsourcing on youth perspectives on the issue. Find out more about that project here, and take part here.
Second, we launched our Call for Innovations, we’re looking for innovators, makers or entrepreneurs with technological, social or design innovations that are focused on improving lives and transforming society.

Your device, prototype or project may involve 3D printing, robotics, bio-mimicry – it doesn’t matter how you are using technology as long as you are making a difference. If this sounds like you, and you would like your ideas or working device showcased in front of a global audience of thousands of leading decision-makers, apply here by September 30, for more information click here.
Third and finally, this fall, there will be big choices made about the future of our work with young people, like yourselves. We want to know what you think! Head over to here contribute to #PP14Youth, a crowdsourced policy statement to go to the ITU Plenipotentiary this Fall. Full information available here.
We hope your week was as exciting as ours!
Thanks,
The Young Innovators Competition Team young.in...@itu.int
