KJ SIMSR ranking

Hello all,

Although i'm not an ardent believer of B-School rankings, but lately I came across the Business Today rankings and others too. 

It is frankly a matter of worry.

Irrespective of the methodology of the 'research agencies', the bottom-line lies in the fact that KJ SIMSR has lost its position in the Top-20s.

I remember clearly (and I hope you all remember it too) that this institute ranked i the Top-20s for almost 5-7 years. Plus or minus 2 positions, depending on the Magazine/Agency.

The Big Fall in the first list, is worrisome.

I would really like to know if the Institute is taking any steps towards this. 

Much better would be if the Institute is open for comments/suggestions from the alumni or if any discussion can take place during Nostalgia over this.

This email is completely my opinion, and is to encourage the current Alcom members to discuss and involve alumni, wherever they feel we can help.

I feel that the role of Nostalgia needs to move from a mere get-together to a platform which discusses and takes steps towards the improvement of the Institute in areas of academia, student profiles, faculty, placements and attitude.
