Forpeople that come here that are just trying to get the repository but don't care about the protocol (ssh / https), you might just want to use https instead of ssh (if it's supported).

Note that GitHub deprecated password authentication (https login) for private repositories due to it not keeping up with the latest security standards, use a personal access token.

I've had this issue on a Mac - while I setup SSH correctly to access my Git repository, after restart (and some time the Mac was on a standoff), all my credentials were removed. Apparently, for some reason the pub key was set to 644 which caused it to be removed from the keychain. To readd:

Where PRIVATE_KEY_FILE_NAME is the name of private part of your SSH key pair, if you haven't messed with it, usually its default name is : id_rsain this case replace PRIVATE_KEY_FILE_NAME above with id_rsa(the private key DOES NOT have a .pub extension)

...when I was trying to make contact from a Git Bash prompt to Bitbucket after my laptop died from a bad Windows 10 update and was returned to factory settings. I had restored all my ssh files from a backup.

The cause of the error turned out to be a mismatch in my Windows account name after the computer rebuild. I learned that the public key file id_rsa.pub ends with an easily readable string comprising my Windows account name followed by an @ sign and then the computer name.

When I originally set up my computer, I created my Windows account name including my middle initial but when my computer was reset to factory settings, our new DevOps guy created my account name without my middle initial.

To resolve the issue, I simply edited my public key file id_rsa.pub and removed the middle initial in my name at the end. I had stuck with the same computer name so that was okay. I copied the file contents to the Windows clipboard. I then signed into Bitbucket, went to Bitbucket Settings under my avatar, and added a new public key where I pasted in the new contents.

Useful thread and I don't bring much new to the table. The step I took is also part of the description Maxime helpfully points to but some may overlook it. The section is Adding your SSH key to the ssh-agent.

-- I was using bitBucket/UBUNTU14.04 in my case, but ALREADY had a set of key files that I had previously generated AND I had changed the name of the files. I simply COPIED the files to the standard id_rsa & id_rsa.pub name format. I then re-ran the command with out issue.

more than likely the 1.5 bankwire would work in 1.6, but if not then clone the 1.6 module and retrofit changes. This at first may seem like a challenge, you will learn some basic reading and minor changing of code...but learning this will allow you to be more in charge of your shop in the future.

Some mobile apps have built-in account switching so that you can use two or more separate accounts in one place. Amazon, Gmail, Google Play, Instagram, Messenger, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube all come to mind. But what about the Android apps that don't provide account switching?

If you have two or three Facebook accounts, you can switch between them easily on a computer, but not in the mobile app. To switch Facebook accounts on your phone, you'll need to clone the Facebook app. The same goes for Skype, Tinder, WhatsApp, Zoom, and any other apps where you want two accounts running simultaneously.

Dual Messenger is an exclusive feature for dual-SIM Galaxy models that lets you clone certain social apps to use two different accounts at the same time. If you want to uninstall the clones, you can uninstall them like any other app. For example, you can long-press the icon on the Apps or Home screen and hit "Uninstall." You can also tap on the app's name in the Dual Messenger settings and hit "Uninstall."

If you don't want to clone one of the social/chat apps seen above, you can use another built-in Galaxy feature called Secure Folder. It's a sandboxed environment located inside a folder on your Apps screen, and you can install copies of any app on your phone in it. It's also useful for hiding apps behind lock and key.

Secure Folder uses Samsung's defense-grade Knox security platform to protect the isolated folder, so you'll need to set up a pattern, PIN, or passcode to unlock it. You can also choose to unlock Secure Folder with biometrics like fingerprint and iris locks.

While it's faster to select the apps from the list and "Add" them, you could also install clones from the Play Store or Galaxy Store. Tap either option from the "Add apps" screen, then install the apps you want.

This way is more useful if you're going to install apps in your Secure Folder only without another copy outside the folder. If you ever need a clone, you can install the same app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store outside of the sandboxed environment.

Secure Folder is available on the following phones, and it works with most Samsung phones running Android N (7.0) or newer. If you don't see Secure Folder on your device, you can install it from the Play Store or Galaxy Store.

The above two methods are the easiest and safest ways to clone apps on a Samsung Galaxy device. Still, there are other options such as Parallel Space, App Hider, and other third-party cloning apps available on Google Play. However, most of those will cost money to get the most out of them.

There are also third-party apps that are essentially clones of the official apps, like Tinder++, only with some features added or removed. But these can be a security risk since you're logging into the official service via a third-party app.
