Hi

I now get this every time I boot:
"A start job is running for LSB: Raise network interfaces. <Time>"
It takes about a minute, so I'd like to disable if possible? Anyone know how? (But I still need wifi).

This may be coincidental, but this didn't happen before I upgraded, using:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pipaos-tools

... to get the
sudo pipaos-setwifi
function to work

(Kivy 1.0, raspi 3)

Many thanks

Cancel that - my bad, it was clearly just looking for wifi net

I think I know what this is, in the interfaces file if you change "auto" for "allow-hotplug" you should get connectivity in the background and a faster bootup.
You can then watch for the lease file - somewhere under /var I think - to know when you are networked, or even use a dhcp hook script.

Thanks, that's helpful!
I tested quickly (and it certainly boots much quicker), but doesn't establish a connection.
I guess it's waiting for a command to start the wifi adapter - I haven't dug in to how to do that yet...
