Raspberry Pi 3B+, Kivypie not working

Hello,

I've been using KivyPie for a couple of months now. S

So far it's been working great, but after the release of the raspberry pi 3b+ I wanted to migrate my thermostat application to this new raspberry (coming from the older Raspberry Pi 3).

After installing a new KivyPie image on the new raspberry, the only thing that shows up is a black screen.

After some digging, it seems that the kernel which KivyPie came with doesn't have support for the newer raspberry pi.

Is there any guide/fix/whatever that can fix my problem so I can run my thermostat app on my newer raspberry?

I install KivyPie on a pi 3 and then i make a sudo rpi-update then i make a new image of the system and then installed on a pi3b+ and it works.
