My computer died today and along with it the code for my app, 9 months in the works. On top of that my backups turned out to be useless.

So, is it possible to extract .py files from an APK?

Any help is much appreciated.

The apk is a simple zip file, so you can just extract it.

Inside it, there will be a "private.mp3" file. That's a .tar.gz, so
you can also extract that file to find your compiled python files.

Now you have to try your luck with one of the many tools available for
decompiling this files. Search github and stackoverflow that you will
find a lot of information.
