Light Source - How to Draw

Hi

I am a beginner.

How do I create a light source based on my drawing?

I have a simple 2D Canvas (Widget) on which I draw various ellipses.

How can I setup one of those ellipses to be a light source (such as a sun) to shine some brightness on the 'scene'?

If you are just using  2d images, you may want to consider using bitmaps, and an image editor to create the effects you like.
