I found this site, but I don't understand how it works:
http://android.kivy.org/

I submitted a project, nothing happened for a couple of days, and eventually my "waiting page" disappeared.

Any other method to get APK compiled without getting nuts with setting up Android SDK in Windows?
I also found the VirtualBox linux image which should allow "easy compiling".... but it's not very straightforward, as I'm not skilled in linux, so I expected something like an icon to click, a button to press to select my source, and an OK button to get APK created...
Is that feasible?

well that website is the only place for "click for apk". I'm sure a dev will stop by here to check the builder soon.

However just so you know, coding in linux is a blessing. Everything can be set up without too much hassle (everything is a small bit of a hassle in Linux). And you always get what you need when you need it. The online builder does go offline now and again.

But how is that site supposed to work? Is it automatic or does it require webmaster intervention to compile submitted apps?

it's automatic, but the builder fails every now and again.

I had a little chat with the devs, try again now. may still not work though. Also, I know the link that the email sends is corrupt, so you need to keep the window open. If it doesn't do it in a few hours (only because there may be a queue) it's dead again.

Hello,

I have also tested my side without success.

Is it possible to copy some errors logs here we can look for where it may come?

Whether it is a code problem or system configuration (such as a problem ulimit for example if the system uses a queue with specific mechanisms) ...

Thank you.

It submit a job, and wait for a builder to build and send back the result.
If there is no builder online (or disconnected), the work is still in the queue.

Nobody really maintain it, but we are building a real service from our previous experience, based on buildozer.
