Hi,

I've been building/deploying an app for an Android tablet with buildozer, and
its docs say that it uses python-for-android to accomplish that goal. But when
I look for python-for-android it is nowhere to be found.

Where is python-for-android? Is it hiding or is it duplicated under buildozer?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. However I'm still trying to figure out how buildozer is
using p4a when I have not installed it and can't find it on my hard disk.
P4a is not listed as a dependency in buildozer's setup.py.

Is it hiding or duplicated somewhere under buildozer?
Perhaps the docs exaggerate its connection? How are the projects really related?

buildozer downloads and runs python-for-android as the main part of its
operation when building an apk (buildozer is basically a wrapper around
p4a that automatically downloads and sets up the dependencies, with a
maybe more convenient interface). You can find the downloaded
python-for-android somewhere in the .buildozer directory within the
folder where you run buildozer.
