Xcode build error: rsync warning: some files vanished before they could be transferred (code 24)

Hi!

I am trying to build a Kivy app for iOS using toolchain and Xcode.

I think I have followed the guides correctly and after solving a few problems with toolchain (see last post of https://groups.google.com/g/kivy-users/c/kC13pJWYmOI/m/sOwl-R8OBQAJ ) I opened the Xcode project. But when trying to build and run in the iPhone 8 simulator I get this error:

rsync warning: some files vanished before they could be transferred (code 24) at /AppleInternal/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/rsync/rsync-54.120.1/rsync/main.c(996) [sender=2.6.9]
Command PhaseScriptExecution failed with a nonzero exit code

I have searched and found others who experience this rsync error in different situations but not in a situation I can 'relate' to. :-)

Can any one help me? Please tell me if you need more information.

I am glad it helped you.

Personally I think iOS is a bit easier to work with than Android, because you have Xcode instead of buildozer, WHEN you have figured out toolchain etc.

But Apple is a much more dictatorial monopoly. It's practically impossible to get an app out to iOS users if Apple doesn't like your app... See https://www.abolishtheappstore.org/
On Android there are several alternative app stores.
