I am attempting to use a touchscreen for Kivy with Ubuntu 16.04 (Python 2.7). The application should send commands to another ROS application, acting as a ROS node itself.
However, whenever I turn on ROS i.e. rospy.init_node(' ') within the app run, the Kivy Hidinput driver fails to turn on and thus I cannot receive any touch input.
Does anyone know about this issue or how to solve it?
