I am trying to create a user interface for my senior design project. it consists of a dispensing mechanism, which means it will involve motors. i want to create a User interface that will set scheduled times for dispensing items for multiple users and also it would need to be connected to a online bar code data base to scan the items. can i do all this will kivy?  i am new to python and would like to use a raspberry pi. any suggestions? i have already attempted to code but i am quite lost because of my lack of knowledge with python. Thank you! oh btw, i plan on making this with a touch screen on the device and also a mobile app.

With your requirements of using the raspberry pi and making a mobile app, kivy is probably a good choice. It might be anyway, but for this combination in particular there aren't many choices.

I'm not sure of the technical details of scanning bar codes etc, but in general you can use the normal python tools for these things and just create a kivy gui around them. Other people probably know more about the specifics for this.

Thank you. Sorry to bug you but do you have any suggestions? I am a blank canvas and would like to know a little more. If you are the Alexander Taylor i think you are, then your videos have been very helpful but i am still having issues doing the things i want to do in particular.

Not really. You should start trying to make what you want and see what
happens.
